The process of defining my brand

The process of defining my personal brand involved a lot of reflection on my skills, passions, and how I engage with the world. Looking into my background with communication, art, fashion, and event planning, I realized my brand is a blend of storytelling, design, and immersive experiences. I want to create a brand identity that reflects my creative vision and allows me to connect with audiences emotionally and visually. My final overall brand result is sophisticated, bold, and expressive, embodying my strengths in design and communication. I will go into the color palette, typography, and moodboard process throughout the blog.

What I found when googling myself

Googling myself was an interesting experience. When googling myself I didn't find anything concerning or new. Most items that came up were tied to academic and extracurricular experience. I did enjoy that my digital footprint is mostly professional, but I wish it had more intentions for my creativity and personal brand.

Things I liked

  • No negative content

  • Existing work is connected to school and leadership roles

  • Private digital footprint and professional

Thing I wish to change

  • Showcasing my work including my digital portfolio

  • Creating a website

  • Building my linkedin that reflects my leadership and creative experiences.

Overall I want my brand to portray more personality and creativity. This search reinforced the importance of intentional digital presence—I want my online brand to reflect my skills, interests, and professional goals more clearly.

I reached out to friends and family about getting the adjectives they would use to describe me. Most commonly used: Detail oriented, passionate, and adaptable. This feedback helped me reinforce my unique proposition and helped me visualize how I stand out amongst my peers.

Balancing elegance and modernity

The colors I would choose for my brand are a deep blue for depth, creativity, and mystery, a blush pink for elegance, warmth, and emotion, and an off white for the clean and minimalist for the sophisticated fresh brand. The typography I want is to feel modern, expressive, and clean.

I want my headlines to be classic, and trendsetting. My subheadings I wish for more of a modern look, and the body I want a stylish and warm personality look.

For my audience I wish to have a team of creative professionals, peers and mentors, as well as potential employers.

My brand moving forward

My ideal brand is a blend of creative storytelling, fashion, and digital design.

The steps to achieve this include

  • Building a portfolio website

  • Enhancing my media presence

  • Networking to grow my brand

By aligning my online presence, aesthetic, and professional goals, I can create a brand that is authentic, engaging, and impactful. This journey is just beginning, and I’m excited to bring my vision to life!
