From Man To Mallard A Reflection

For lab number 19 we created a spoof on a Parks and Recreation episode. The idea was a funny short video about Luke hitting a goose with his car and having mixed reactions from Grace and Kayden. The story then shifts to Luke wanting to become a goose to be one with their culture. The original idea can be thanked to Harrison, who played the mediator in the video, everyone liked the idea and we rolled with it!

All characters got to write their own lines and modify it to fit themselves but also the characters in the show. Grace and Erik directed the whole thing as well as filmed. I did the editing similar to the style of the show. Kayden, Luke, Harrison, and Grace acted as the famous characters. When it comes to fictional storytelling I learned that it can be a lot of fun, but it’s important to have a lot of artistic freedom with it. With my editing experience I learned a lot of new skills like adding a transparent overlay, converting youtube videos to music, and making a realistic credits scene. I will definitely use all these skills when it comes to my PSA and Mini doc.
